Over 25 years of celebrations
For 26 years a committed group of community volunteers and a dedicated group of sponsors have ensured the success of the Juneteenth Banquet and Festival events. The Daytona Beach Juneteenth Festival is the largest and longest-running Juneteenth event in the state of Florida. Planning is now underway for the 2024 Juneteenth National Holiday Community Celebration festival.
History, entertainment and contests
The festival has featured the historic Sankofa Traveling Museum which includes a display of more than 500 artifacts that document African American life dating back to the 1800’s. This free, all-day community event includes live musical entertainment, over 100 food and beverage vendors, merchandise, and sponsor interactive activity booths, dancing, children’s games, educational activities, and a Pound Cake Contest. Proceeds from this event help to support college scholarships for area youth. The festival is held at Cypress Park, 925 George Engram Boulevard (corner of Nova Road and George Engram Boulevard).
Support our local community
Each year, the committee recognizes our "Hometown Heroes" at the annual banquet. To help make this celebration a success, we are inviting you to attend to represent your services and sell your unique arts and crafts, merchandise, and food at the festival. We are also inviting health and other service organizations to have a booth. We anticipate approximately 6,000 people from within Volusia and Flagler Counties to attend the festival. This will be an opportunity for you to showcase your services or products and, at the same time, join the Juneteenth Festival Committee in celebrating this historic event.
