Juneteenth National Holiday
Community Celebrations

The Juneteenth Festival in Daytona Beach is one of the state's longest-running and largest Juneteenth celebrations.  Since 2000 Juneteenth Festival Group, Inc has been bringing awareness to Daytona and surrounding communities about Juneteenth.  This year's celebration will include a banquet, youth program, community parade, and more.

Juneteenth, "Hometown Hero"
Awards Banquet Dinner

 

Come help celebrate those who make a difference in our community every day.  This banquet includes the Hometown Hero awards ceremony, live entertainment, and a full-Course dinner featuring dishes inspired by those prepared in celebration of freedom. 


The event is held at the Mori Hosseini Student Union on the beautiful campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  With its iconic design and dynamic skylight, the Mori Hosseini Student Union is the centerpiece of the campus.

Community Festival

This free, all-day community event includes live musical entertainment, over 100 food vendors, merchandise, and sponsor interactive activity booths, dancing, children’s games, educational activities, and an annual Pound Cake Contest.  In addition, proceeds from this event will help support college scholarships for area youth.

 

The festival is held at Cypress Park, located on 925 George Engram Boulevard (corner of Nova Road and George Engram Boulevard)

CALLING ALL BAKERS! It's that time again, to show this community how great you can bake a POUND CAKE! Enter your tasty treat in the Annual JUNETEENTH POUND CAKE CONTEST!

 

Email your completed entry form to: Committee@JuneteenthDaytona.com, and bring your homemade cake to the festival before 2pm. Judging will start promptly at 2pm, and cakes will be sliced for everyone to enjoy afterwards.
